Split Hip Reel : Watermill

Summary

It's called either Split Hip Reel or the Water Mill when the poi spins once at a turn around the hips.
This movement can be donce by doing Carry Turn and HIp Reel Turn and combining and doing them in turns.

How to

  1. Turn from forward spin to backward spin by doin Hip Reel Turn.
  2. Back to the original position by Carry Turn.
  3. The poi orbit stays the same and only the body moves about 90 to the sides.
  4. Spin as close as possible to the hips. The left poi spins in front and behind your left hip. The right poi spins in front and behind your hips.
  5. Spin less and less between the turns as you feel more comfortable with the movement.
  6. You've completed the movement when you only spin once in front and behind and link them.
  7. It looks as the watermill so this movements is called Watermill.

Tips

When poi comes in front, you can spin poi in extended circle. It is called giant water mill.
