Summary

Butterfly, is one of the most typical tricks you can do on the wall plane.
It's somewhat a magical trick because it looks as if the both poi are going to hit each other.
However, it's ok because the poi are spinning at slightly different planes.

How to

The movement is the same as when you circle the arms in fron of your body.
The poi can easily get tangled until you're familiar with the movement, so be careful not to spin too fast at first.

Spin the poi a liitle bit apart from each other at in front of your body on the Wall plane.
It might makes it easier to spin one of the poi a little higher than the other.
Bring them closer little by little.
When they come to the center, bring the hands together to make it even.

If they're too far or off the center, it's difficult to do the Butterfly.
Hold the poi at even distance from the body and try to make the center at close position.
This can avoid the poi from getting tangled and it also looks beautiful!

It's called the Inward Swing when the both poi spin inward.
It's called the Outward Swing on the other hand when the both poi spin outward.
Let's practice the Outward Butterfly.
You might feel difficult to do the Outward Butterfly after doing the Inward Butterfly, but practice them both to be able to spin them evenly.

Do the Butterfly at various position after you're familiar with the movement.
